![]() ![]() Looked like maybe there were possible minor fitment issues with the latter. Still debating on the Purple Craniums or the Rockcrushers. Reading over the discussions, I did not seem to see a strong advantage for the DT Profab or PSC. ce2 describes - ratcheting, lock up on accedleration/deceleration in turns, etc.) Plus it is a little less expensive.Īngus - I was going to order most of this stuff from the same vendor, and they stock the BD. Does not sound like it has any wonky effects on drive-ability (as. After I started this thread last night I did find a helpful discussion on one of the diesel forums. Just wanted to confirm my understanding/see if anyone had real world experience. Yeah, the Trutrac is a "helical gear" LSD, similar or identical apparently to the factory anti-spin rear (which my truck has and I don't intend to change). The best thing you can do those is get some meaty man sized tires under that thing and you won't need a locker anyway. I assume you must already have a rear locker right, that will make much more difference and be far more useful then a front. Unless your spending more time on the trails where you would need a locker more often then not I wouldn't go that route, these trucks don't turn as it is and with the front locked you only go straight. So that means your going to be fighting to turn the wheel every time you try until the locker finally let's go. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here but the auto lockers always wanted to be locked when your going straight right, and they disengage when they sense enough of a difference in wheel speed. It doesn't sound like you really need a front locker to me and once your done playing with it you'll probably never use it again D But you definitely don't ever want it to be locked unless you need it so I would strongly suggest only a selected-able locker of some sort, (air or electric) no automatic lockers which is what the true trac is right. ![]()
